Acidity Level is Important.
When using a skincare product, or in this case, a hair product, making sure that it matches the natural acidity level of your skin is a key detail. Especially when it comes to dandruff.
An incorrect balance can strip away the moisture from the scalp, causing or exacerbating the flakiness and itchiness problem. Making sure that your scalp, just like your skin, maintains the right oil and water balance is absolutely critical.
And one simple way of doing so is using a product that is sub-acidic (for most people). There is more to it, of course, but this is certainly a good step.

Do note that it is impossible to be 100% certain that a product is free from triggering reactions for every single person on earth, however, chances are it'll be okay for you!
We do recommend a patch test when you try any new product, be it for the skin on the face, arm, elsewhere on the body, or in this case, the scalp. Take a small amount, use it in a small spot, and then see if any reaction occurs after 24 hours (or 48, to be extra safe). If you are in the clear, go to town!
